Volgograd-based "Severstal-metiz" Makes First Steel Rope from Plastically Squeezed Strands of the Diameter of 57 mm

In comparison with regular ropes the new ropes have longer service life (on average by 1.5 - 1.8 times) and enhanced strength (10-20% higher than regular ropes), higher resistance to transverse crush, higher resistance to wear of wires, pulleys and drums.
