Severstal-Metiz seeks suspension of EU AD duty on wire rope
Russia’s Severstal-Metiz is seeking a suspension agreement on the anti-dumping duty on exports of its steel wire rope into the European Union.
The company is negotiating a commitment on prices, which would allow it to sell certain types of its wire rope to EU countries without the payment of a 9.7% duty.
The EU recently reduced the anti-dumping duties imposed on imports of wire rope from Russia, as previously reported by Steel Business Briefing. The duty for products made by Severstal-Metiz decreased from 36.1% to the current 9.7%.
The main beneficiaries of the duty revision are our customers in EU countries, general director of Severstal-Metiz, Olga Naumova, commented.
