Production of Unique Polished Wire Launched in Cherepovets

The Chrepovets-based Severstal-metiz developed the production of the product that is unique for Russia - that is polished wire or wet drawn wire of the diameter of 4.0 - 9.0 mm in accordance with GOST 3282-74. The project was developed jointly with Severstal-metiz authorized dealer in Scandinavia, Anordica Company. Under the project the plant purchased a new drawing mill of the capacity of 900 tons per month. The equipment ensures high quality of the wire surface that may be then covered with chromium, nickel, zinc and powder paints. The finished product is used in the production of household equipment, household and interior items.
