Metalware prices will grow - Mr Oleg Veter
It is reported that Mr Oleg Veter commercial director of Severstal-metiz while answering how prices for metalware in H2 2009 are going to move said “The price of metalware was always tied to steelmakers’ prices. We are often hostage of such situation: we are the first who experiences price expectations.”
He said that “What we observe for Q3 allows us to speak confidently there is no reason for price decline, but for growth only, because steelmakers have already announced bar and wire rods price will grow in September.”
He concluded that “In October-November, stabilization of price can be expected but in December seasonal drop is possible.”
