The group of companies "Severstal-metiz" presented their range of produced welding materials at the international specialized exhibition "Welding and Cutting-2008"
Main customer interest was in the flux-cored welding wire PP-SP3-08 in diameter of 1.0 mm, aimed for machine welding of low-carbon and low-alloyed steel in thickness of up to 5 mm.
This is a relatively new product for the company which has been producing it at the Cherepovets plant since 2005.
Flux-cored welding wire allows the user to weld without application of a protective atmosphere which is very convenient in applications such as a small car servicing workshop. In addition, use of flux-cored welding wire reduces consumption of energy, improves the portability of electric welding equipment (as there is no need for a bottle with protective gas) and improves the quality of the weld.
The official representative of Severstal-metiz in the Republic of Belarus – the company Oliver – was impressed with the characteristics of flux-cored welding wire. By mutual arrangement the two partners decided to promote this product in the Belarus market.
