Oleg Veter currently Head of the Commercial Department of the Severstal-metiz Group has been appointed as the CEO of the Group, effective May 12th, 2009. Olga Naumova has decided to leave the company after 8 years service, including 5 years as CEO.
Anatoly Kruchinin, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Severstal-metiz, thanked Mrs. Naumova for her many years of hard work and remarked that during this short period of time, the team under her leadership had united the leading plants of Russia and Ukraine and created a strong metalware group oriented towards the industrial clients and issue of high-value products.
Oleg Veter began his professional career in the Department of strategic planning of Severstal in 1997. Over the last 6 years he has been involved in the commercial activities of Severstal-metiz and during the last year held the role of commercial director of the company. Anatoly Kruchinin believes that in his previous position Mr Veter did a lot to make the company more effective. His new appointment will contribute to the further effective development of Severstal-metiz, growing and strengthening its competitiveness.

Olga Naumova was born in 1972 in Moscow. In 1994 she obtained the Diploma in Marketing from the Moscow State University, and in 1998 – from the Insead Business School (France). Mrs Naumova joined Severstal in 2001 and has been a Business Organization Director of Cherepovets Steel Rolling Plant (today the Cherepovets plant of the Severstal-metiz Group of Companies) and the CEO of ChSPZ, then – Severstal-metiz since 2002.
Olga Naumova is rated as one of the most professional Russian managers. In 2006-2008 she was included in the list of “Top-200 of the most influential Russian business women” according to Russian Career magazine. In 2008 she was also listed in the top 50 of the most influential business women of Russia in Finance magazine.
Oleg Veter was born in 1970 in the Ukraine (the city of Simferopol). In 1992 he graduated from Cherepovets Military Engineering Radio and Electronics School, then in 2001 – Economics faculty at the St.-Petersburg Institute of Business and Law. In 2003 completed a course on International Management at the Business School at Northumbria University (Newcastle, UK). Mr. Veter has worked for Severstal since 1997. Prior to appointment CEO of the Severstal-metiz Group of Companies, he had headed the Purchasing Department and Commercial Department of the Metalware Group.
