Redaelli Tecna S.p.A
Redaelli Tecna S.P.A. – the Italian company, World market leader in speciality wire ropes. Market sectors include offshore, mining, civil-engineering structures, electrical power engineering, etc. Redaelli orients itself at the production of high-tech speciality wire ropes (ropes with compacted strands, organic filled ropes, locked coil wire ropes) for offshore drilling platforms, lifting engineering, stadiums, cable-stayed bridges, cableways. It has a distribution chain (Teci) and a technical engineering business (Tensoteci).
In 2007 the company produced 15,000 tonnes of ropes, its EBITDA was 10.4 million Euro and revenue 66,3 million Euro.
Company was founded in 1819 (there are 189 years in 2008).
Till the middle of July 2008 there were three divisions within the company:
- Wire ropes (production of high-tech speciality wire ropes);
- PC Strands (stabilized strand is used in the manufacture of pre-stressed concrete elements and also for post-tensioning applications);
- Steel cord (for truck and passenger tyres).
From July, 31, 2008 Redaelli is part of Severstal-metiz international group of companies.
Maurizio Prete is the Managing Director of the company.
